Relax and come on over and experience a glimpse of one family's life in the 1800's. The mansion was built for Steamboat Captain Joseph Kinney and his family as their summer home. Construction started during the Civil War in 1864 and was finished in 1869. The 12,000 sq. ft. mansion has stood against time and Mother Nature to become the relaxing and mesmerizing bed and breakfast it is today.
We have the luxury of a quiet country setting, but with just a short walk you will find yourself at the Missouri River bridge crossing over to historic Boonville, where you can shop antique stores and specialty shops, eat at dinners, steakhouses, and fast food shops, and even play a few games at the casino. We are 500 feet away from the KATY Bike and walking trail, 10 miles from Rocheport and the Winery, and 15 minutes from Fayette and Central Methodist University.
