| Cora Kinney- Hurt was the Kinney's middle daughter and the artist of the family. One of her paintings is currently hanging in her room. Her artwork is also visible around the parlor where she painted "Scenes of Missouri" around the ceiling in 1882. She married Dr. P.L. Hurt and had one daughter, Mary.
This bedroom gets the early morning sun and overlooks the front and side lawn. It features 12 foot ceilings, 4 huge 10 foot windows, and an Italian marble front mantle over the gas fireplace to warm you from the evening chill. There is a connecting door going into Ms. Margaret's room if you want two rooms together.
It is furnished with antiques, family portraits, an antique queen bed, and a full bath with shower. The original gas light fixtures are still attached the wall where Ms. Cora's dressing table sat. It was here she would get ready for formal evenings and steamboat parties with her best friend and sister, Margaret.
